Huffle (“we”, “us”) is operated by GJS Corp. This policy explains what the Huffle app and huffle.app collect, why, who it is shared with, and the controls you have. It applies to everyone who uses Huffle. We do not run ads, use advertising or ad-tracking SDKs, or sell your data.

How we use it

  • To run Huffle: show activities, groups, races and people near you, handle join requests, and send reminders and messages.
  • To generate and adapt AI training plans and answer coaching questions you ask. This sends what you entered (goal, schedule, age, sex, weight, height, resting heart rate, any health or injury notes you wrote, your logged sessions and your questions) to our AI provider, Anthropic, without your name or email. Health notes are sensitive, so the app asks for your agreement before anything is sent for the first time, and you can say no: the AI plan and coach are then unavailable and the rest of Huffle works as usual. You can withdraw your agreement at any time in Settings. It is not used to train the model, and the prompts and answers are kept for up to 90 days and then deleted.
  • To check photos for adult content before they are uploaded, and to handle reports of people or content.
  • To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems.

We do not use your data for advertising and we do not build advertising profiles.

Who can see what

  • Profile basics (name, username, photo, bio, sports) are visible to other users.
  • Activity stats, posts and training history are visible to your buddies, or to everyone only if you make your profile public.
  • Meeting points. The exact meeting point of an activity is shown only to its organizer and to people the organizer has approved. Everyone else sees only the general area, for example a neighbourhood and city.
  • Your approximate location is rounded before anyone sees a distance to you. We never show your home address.
  • Messages are visible to the people in the conversation. You choose who can message you.

Access rules are enforced in our database, not only in the app, so a request can only return data you are allowed to see.

Strava

Connecting Strava is optional and you can disconnect at any time. Huffle is not affiliated with or endorsed by Strava. Strava is a trademark of Strava, Inc.

  • What we access. When you connect, you authorize Huffle to read your profile and your activities (including private ones, via Strava’s “activity:read_all” permission). We use this to summarize your recent training and to fill in distance, time and pace on activity recaps you choose to make.
  • What we store. Your Strava connection tokens and summary figures for your activities (such as date, type, distance, moving time and elevation).
  • Who sees it. Your Strava activity data is shown only to you. It is not shown to other Huffle users unless you choose to post an activity from the preview screen, which publishes only what you approve in that post.
  • AI plans. Your Strava data is never sent to our AI provider. We do not use Strava data for advertising and we do not sell it.
  • Disconnecting. You can disconnect from Profile or Settings in Huffle, or revoke Huffle’s access from your Strava settings. Either way we revoke the connection and delete your stored Strava tokens and activity data. Deleting your Huffle account does the same.

Who we share it with

Your controls

  • Location. Huffle asks before using your location and works without it. You can turn it off in your device settings.
  • Strava. Connect or disconnect at any time. Disconnecting deletes your stored Strava data.
  • Who can message you. Choose everyone, buddies only or no one in Settings.
  • Notifications. Control them in Settings and in your device settings.
  • Edit or delete content. You can edit or remove activities, posts and photos you created in the app.
  • Block and report. Block anyone to stop their messages and hide their posts. Report people or content that break the rules.
  • Access and correction. You can see and edit your profile in the app. To ask for a copy of your data or a correction, email us.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account any time from Settings, which permanently removes your profile, activities, posts, messages, photos, voice notes and Strava data, and, if you signed in with Apple, revokes Huffle’s access in your Apple ID. Some records, such as a report you filed about another person, may be kept for a limited time where needed for safety, security or legal reasons. If you cannot open the app, email support@huffle.app from the address on your account and we will delete it for you. Full steps are on the account deletion page.

Age

Huffle is for people 16 and older. Because it helps strangers meet in person, it is not intended for younger children, and we delete accounts we learn belong to someone under 16.

Where your data is processed

Our providers may process data in Canada, the United States and other countries. We rely on contracts and provider security practices to protect it wherever it is handled.

Changes

If we change this policy in a material way, we will tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect and update the date above.
